The US military is constantly searching, designing, and implementing new communications sources that will advance the combat power of individual infantrymen on the battlefield. Often a hindrance of a battlefield deployment has been the loss of line of site. Military-Mesh Radios (MMR) help to resolve issues previously encountered through earlier versions of equipment. Antenna Products Corporation's MMR circumvents many of these obstacles through its Intelligent Routing Software (IRS) and size to place drop nodes in urban buildings and congested locations to enhance and expand the wireless network node.

MMRs utilizing its IRS, has virtually no single point of failure once the network starts expanding. Current wireless networks can be shut down by removing an access point. The MMR diversifies its routing system each time a new MMR is added to the network because the IRS routes traffic through a dynamic landscape of ever-changing set of peers to a networked device or the internet.

MMRs ensure security though embedded algorithms which comply with the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 ensuring that data-in-motion is safe from attack or eavesdropping. The MMR is feature rich and more secure than any other uncertified wireless and wired products. Antenna Product Corporations' MMR and IRS technology detects, re-directs, and responds to more wireless exploits than any COTS security solution available. MMR is the superior single wireless device to protect users' highly confidential data.

Antenna Products has taken into consideration developing the MMR current and future applications desired from multi-branches of the military to increase daily operations efficiency as well as battlefield capabilities. The MMR features core capabilities and drivers include:

  • Linux IOS
  • Integrated multi-radio capabilities - (licensed and non-licensed frequency)
  • Exterior status indicator lights - red, yellow, and green for quick field installation
  • Indicators - field deployment tone and vibration indicators
  • Ingress/Egress Industry Standard Connectors - plug and play external devices
  • Multiple mounting capabilities - carabineer attachment capability to mount to interior/exterior walls, belt clip for personal attachment, and fixed pole mount capabilities.
  • 4-8 hour rechargeable smart battery
  • Industry standard PTT jack interface
  • Bluetooth
  • Active/Passive RFID capabilities
Antenna Products Corporation understands that the MMR must have multi-functional capabilities as well as an interface that is not complicated, which would hinder a soldier's attention to his surroundings. The MMR can easily be adapted to an existing MMR network or start a new network as a root MMR network.

The MMR fully enclosed is less than 100 in³ and less than 5 lbs. This compact size and capability to function for up to 8 hours on an internal battery makes the MMR ideal for tactical deployment of an immediate mesh network and/or personal communication device.
